All Players Enjoy the Try-Out Session at Megabox on June 9

The HKAHC try-out games in the new full-size rink at Megabox, Kowloon Bay on Saturday, June 9 had been a big success. Four Premiere Division teams and two Regular Division teams comprising almost 100 players took part in the try-out. This was the first time the players experienced big ice surface in Hong Kong and everyone had fun and enjoyed their time on ice.

HKAHC would like to take this opportunity to thank all participating members and friends for their stern support of the Club. A special thanks also goes to the management of Megabox and the Rink Management Group for their support in making available the rink for the try-out session.

At the same time, should you have any feedback or comments about the try-out or the new ice rink please e-mail bengy.hui@hkahc.com.
Meanwhile, HKAHC has sponsored a team to take part in the World Hockey 5 games at Megabox from June 10-17. The team’s first game was against HK Hitmen on June 10. It will play against UAE at 11:30 pm on June 11; against Dexion Wildcats at 1:15 am on June 14; and against Macau at 3:15 pm on June 16.

香港業餘冰球會於 6月 9 日在九龍灣 Megabox 試用全新國際標準的溜冰場。四隊高級組和二隊初級組隊伍合共大約 100 位球員試用了新溜冰場。這次是球員第一次在香港的國際標準場地作賽，大家獲得無限樂趣和新的體驗。

Information Note for Participants
of HKAHC Try-out Session Games at Megabox Rink
on Saturday, 9 June 2007

Dear Members and Friends of HKAHC,

With the support of the management of Megabox and the Rink Management Group, it is our pleasure to confirm that the Try-out Session Games in the new rink at Megabox, Kowloon Bay will take place as scheduled on Saturday, 9 June, 2007 from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Please note the following important points:

Team Roster & Schedule: The roster and game schedule have been uploaded to our website at: http://www.hkahc.com.

Game Format: The games will consist of 2 periods of 20 minutes each with running clock. There will be no stop clock, O.T. or shoot out if there is a tie.

  1. 20 minutes per period
  2. 2 periods
  3. 3 minutes for warm-up
  4. 1 minute intermission

Jerseys: Please bring your own black and white jerseys. Spare jerseys may be available but there is no guarantee.

 

Arrive Early: Don’t miss your scheduled ice time. As the newly opened Megabox mall is a big attraction, vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the mall and the shuttle bus pick-up point at Telford Plaza could be very heavy or jammed particularly on Saturday evening. You are strongly advised to make your way to Megabox as early as possible and arrive in sufficient time before your game starts. If you are driving, hourly parking in Megabox is available. Parking charge is $3-4 for 30 minutes. However, Megabox offers 3-hour free parking for those who spend any amount at retail shops in the mall.

Shuttle Buses: A schedule of shuttle bus service between Megabox and Telford Garden and a map to Megabox have been posted on our website: http://www.hkahc.com. Again, please be reminded to arrive early as there could be heavy traffic jams. We have already warned the shuttle bus operators that players would be carrying huge hockey bags but please cooperate and be patient with the driver and other passengers.

Changing Rooms and Showers: The changing room and shower facilities have been made available for HKAHC during the try-out session. Please feel free to make use of these facilities.

Enjoy the Try-out: As this is a new rink being run in, HKAHC requests your understanding, patience, tolerance and full cooperation with the rink management and staff. We are playing for the first time on the big surface in Hong Kong so let’s just go out there and have some fun!

免費優先試用MegaBox新冰場球員須知

香港業餘冰球會獲Rink Management Group及MegaBox管理層的大力支持，於6月9日星期六晚上7-10時免費提供全新落成的標準冰場予本會會員免費試用； 消息公佈後得到各位的踴躍參與，本會實在高興萬分。

為使出席者清楚該活動行程及細節，要點明細如下︰

球員分隊表&賽程表: 球員分隊表和賽程表可在 http://www.hkahc.com 網頁上查閱

比賽方式：賽事將會分兩節舉行, 每一節為二十分鐘. 計時方式將撰用不停鐘方式進行. 賽事打和將不設加時或互射龍門。

  1. 二十分鐘一節
  2. 角場分為兩節
  3. 三分鐘熱身時間
  4. 一分鐘中場休息

球衣：請閣下自備黑、白球衣各一. 本會不能保證有額外球衣借予球員

請提前出門，準時到場：由於MEGABOX係新開業的大型商場. 交通和人流將會非常之繁忙. 九龍灣德福廣場穿梭巴士站及MEGABOX商場附近一帶交通將會非常擠塞 請大家忍讓和提早起行，巳免錯過比賽時間. 如果閣下駕車到冰球場，商場設有時鐘泊車場，費用每半小時3至4元; 如在商場消費任何金額, 可免費泊車3小時.

穿梭巴士：穿梭MEGABOX至九龍灣德福廣場之巴士服務時間表和地圖經可在 http://www.hkahc.com 網頁上查閱. 再一次提醒各位交通將會非常繁忙及擠塞. 我們已通知有關方面將會有球員攜帶大形冰球袋上車，懇請閣下在候車或上車時，與司機及其他乘客合作，多多忍讓，謝謝。

更衣室和浴室：當日更衣室和浴室等設施將可給予球員使用.

享受優先試用：這是一個全新標準溜冰場, HKAHC 懇請閣下諒解及容忍，並給予溜冰場的管理人員大力支持及合作，讓大家能好好去享用這新冰場的設施及享受打球的樂趣。
