2007 Macau Exhibition Games Another Big Success
HKAHC has successfully organized again another ice hockey exhibition games in Macau on 19 & 20 May 2007. The games who took place in the international sized ice rink at Macau Dome were well attended by five Hong Kong teams and one Macau team. Over 200 players and family or friends went over to Macau and enjoyed very much the 2-day games and the tourism city of Macau.
At the opening ceremony of the games on Saturday, 19 May 2007, HKAHC Chairman Mr Thomas Wu presented souvenirs to supporting organizations and sponsors in appreciation of their help in making the event possible. Attending honorable guests included Mr Vong Iao-lek, the acting President of Macau Sports Development Board who represented the Secretary for Social and Cultural Affairs of the Macau SAR Government; Mr Sylvester Cheong, Director for Sports of Macau Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee; Mr Andrew Chan, Chairman of Macau Ice Sports Federation; Mr Lawrence Ho, Chairman and CEO of Melco Group; and Mr Chui Sai-cheong, member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau.
Mr Andrew Chan, Chairman of the Macau Ice Sport Federation, also announced and appointed both Mr Thomas Wu, HKAHC Chairman and Mr Chui Sai-cheong as Honorary President of the Macau Ice Sport Federation in appreciation of their stern support and efforts in promoting the sport of ice hockey.
