「2011 IIHF世界U18 Ⅲ級A組 冰球錦標賽」

香港業餘冰球會及香港訓練學校主席胡文新先生應邀出任 「2011 IIHF世界U18 Ⅲ級A組 冰球錦標賽」大會名譽主席。

賽事於2011年4月11-17日假台北小巨蛋副本滑冰場舉行。參賽隊伍包括澳大利亞、土耳其、保加利亞及中華臺北。

4月11日胡先生前赴台北為中華臺北隊打氣。與此同時參加開幕典禮並在典禮上致詞，當日出席嘉賓包括國際冰球總會的Dr. Hans Dobida, 台北市副市長邱文祥博士, 台北市政府教育局康宗虎先生,

典禮後隨即舉行澳大利亞及中華臺北的對賽，賽事戰況激烈，最後澳大利亞以5:1勝中華臺北。賽後胡先生頒發最有價值球員獎項予 澳大利亞的Kelly Rhett 及 中華臺北的廖冠瑋

2011 IIHF World U18 Championship (Division IIIA)

The Chairman of Hong Kong Amateur Hockey Club and Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey - Mr. Thomas Wu was invited to be the Honorary Chairman  of 2011 IIHF World U18 Championship (Division IIIA)

The Championship was held on April 11-17 at Taipei arena. This Championship has provided an opportunity for the youth ice hockey teams from Australia, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Chinese Taipei as a platform to connect with other teams from abroad. 

Mr. Wu went to Taipei in April to give the Chinese Taipei team support. He also attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

Official guests included Dr. Hans Dobida - IIHF council, Mr. Allen Chiu - the Deputy Mayor, Taipei City Government and Mr. Kang Tzong-huu - the Commissioner, Department of education, Taipei City Government.

An exciting game between Australia and Taipei was held after the ceremony where Australia won by a score of 5:1.

Mr. Wu also presented souvenirs to the MVPs of the game. The recipient for Australia : Kelly Rhett & for Taipei: 廖冠瑋
