〝獲益良多〞香港紅十字會 - 基本急救課程

在2010年12月12日，香港業餘冰球會及香港冰球訓練學校為工作人員，計分員，學校助理教練及其他球員舉辦急救課程。

歷時4小時的基本急救課程包括在協助受傷者前的準備及認識簡單急救。在課程期間，每位參加者都有機會練習如何處理個別的受傷，以便在救傷車到達之前為傷者作出適當的治理。

課程教授內容包括止血，使用三角巾的方法，以協助手腳受傷的球員。

整個課程讓參加者了解傷者的需要及作為急救員的應有知識。

非常感謝香港紅十字會的講師及參加者，令是次課程得以成功。此外，我們希望能舉辦更深入的急救課程，讓各球員及工作人員參與！

"Completed" - Hong Kong Red Cross "Elementary First Aid (EFA) Course"

On December 12, 2010, HKAHC and HKAIH organized a First Aid Course for their staff, scorekeepers, school helpers and other players.

The 4 hours EFA Course is a general introduction of First Aid and covered what to expect and what precautions and preparation is needed before helping someone that is injured. During the course, every attendee got a chance to do some practice treating certain injuries so that one can assist the emergency response tram before they arrive at the scene.

The course went over how to stop bleeding and how to work with a sling to help people with injured arms and legs.

All in all the course gave a general idea of what one needed to do to help a person in need.

Thank you to the instructor and the participants for making the event a success. Furthermore, we are looking forward to organize a more advanced First Aid course for all of you!
