2022-23 AHL Playoffs Sunday division at MegaIce begins on March 12th, 2023!

 

First round match-ups Tier I:

Icewolves (1st) vs Hellfish (4th)

Icewolves finished 1st place and won the season series agaisnt Hellfish with two wins and one tied. All games played were relatively closed. Key match-up will be season leading points Hamish Pang against Leon Ruelle, these two players were separated by two points. Although Hellfish had not beaten Icewolves this season, but the series would be 50/50.

KCT Cowboys (2nd) vs Rice Rockets (3rd)

Rice Rockets won the season series with two wins and one lose. Rice Rockets were powered by the young guns. Arry Leung and Lleyton Lam led the way. Rockets' goaltender Carson Leung led the league with seven shutouts. However, Cowboys would be a much more experience team, with goaltender Ricky Chong posted an incredible 91% save percentage during the season, but it would be a tough task to repeat as Champions as Cowboys considered the underdog in this series.

First round match-ups Tier II:

Hero (5th) vs XSS Dragons (8th)

Hero had out scored 13-2 agains Dragons this season. Hero had been playing much better as a team towards the latter part of the season. Dragons would be relied heavily on goaltender Louis Lee as he faced over 500 shots this season. Hero would be the favorite to win this series.

Lion Rock (6th) vs Titans (7th)

Lion Rock swipped the season series 3-0. Lion Rock's superstar Jason Wong led the way with 36 points this season, 6th best in the league. TItans' Clement Liu 21 poiints led team.Titans could pull an upset if they regained their scoring power fro Alvin Sham.
